The DTT (Dual Turbo Timer) Digital
Compact is a "one-of-a kind" item. DTT DC is the only turbo timer that
incorporates a turbo timer with a boos gauag. The DTT DC features a digital
boost display capable of reading up to 2.5 hkpa (36.75 psi) and also includes a
digital boos peak hold. Featured in the same two-piece compact design as the
FATT DC, the DTT DC has the versatility of being mounted anywhere in the
vehicle. (The DTT DC is available both black and silver)
Heat Soak is one of the leading causes of turbocharger failure. If the turbo is
not provided adequate time to cool, it will "soak" the bearings inside the turbo
with hot oil causing it to leave burnt deposits in the turbo and oil lines. This
is will lead to improper oil flow and will eventually clog the line and turbo,
resulting in damage to the turbo and possibly the engine. To prevent damage to
the turbo, BLITZ Turbo Timers were designed to extend the life of the turbo by
keeping the vehicle idling after ignition has been shut off. This procedure
keeps the oil flowing and draws the hot oil away from the turbo.
